Site Supervisors And Site Safety Health Representatives (SSHR) In The Queensland Mining Industry Need To Have The Appropriate Skills And Knowledge To Perform Their Duties.

These competencies have been established by the relevant Safety and Health Advisory Committees for statutory roles in coal, mineral mines, and quarries.
This course fulfils the qualifications required for the role of Supervisor in the Resources Industry, as outlined in section 56 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and section 51 of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999.
The course includes three competency units, as specified by the Coal and Metalliferous Mining Safety and Health Advisory Boards, for individuals authorised to supervise workers at a mine. These competencies must be renewed at least every five years, in accordance with Regulation 84 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2017 (Qld).
